Chelsea Kitchen

Private Client

This cool, industrial style open-plan kitchen has Day True written all over it; functional, beautiful and effortlessly cool. The overall feel was dark and industrial with some quirky, rich accents - the pendant lighting, gold brassware + handles, wooden flooring and the open wine rack - to give it plenty of personality. Although the space itself is small, we built in a hidden pantry so the client could keep the kitchen area itself clear and free of too many groceries. The contrast between the blue cabinetry and the grey mortex island is highlighted by the fabulous excess of natural light coming in through the crittel window, preventing the space from being too dark or moody. As always we left the client with room to add their own touches, namely the sunken shelving - and of course they have the hidden pantry to stow away any mess before their guests arrive.
